annual, custom
Count everyone who carries their own quota or individual target: sales reps, account managers, customer success reps with a number, and SDRs or BDRs with individual targets. Managers and executives whose number rolls up from a team don't count. An estimate is fine; the bands are wide, and the count reconciles naturally to the plan you run through Orbytal.
Two or three people drive it. The whole org benefits from a healthier plan.

What this replaces

Every current sales tool watches the quarter you are in. Almost none of them tell you what Q3 and Q4 look like from where you stand today, which is why the same thing happens every quarter: the hockey stick, the scramble, the gap you find in month three that you can no longer recover from.

Closing that blind spot is real work. Someone has to pull data from the CRM, the finance system, the HR system, and the sales tools, hold it all in one picture, watch it every day, and turn drift into decisions before it reaches the forecast. That job exists whether you staff it or buy it. A RevOps analyst to own it runs $120k+ fully loaded, and serious coverage is closer to a team.

The deeper problem is that even a great analyst looks at the plan episodically, in the QBR, in the pipeline review, when someone asks. Plans break between the looks. Across 403 B2B revenue plans, teams in the strongest third on capacity realism averaged 80% quota attainment against 56% for the weakest third, and that gap was visible in the plan before the year started, in exactly the kind of drift nobody was watching for.

What makes the answers dependable is the system around the intelligence: state that persists from month to month, a history of what you decided and why that the platform reasons from, and scoring calibrated against 403 real revenue plans rather than a cold start. Any smart model can analyze a snapshot. Holding your business in its head for a year is the product.

Orbytal prices against the hire you would otherwise make rather than another software line item, and it costs a fraction of one.

Questions

What counts as a quota-carrying rep?

Count everyone who carries their own quota or individual target: sales reps, account managers, customer success reps with a number, and SDRs or BDRs with individual targets. Managers and executives whose number rolls up from a team don't count. An estimate is fine; the bands are wide.

Who can use it?

As many people as you want; there is no per-seat pricing. In practice two or three people in RevOps and revenue leadership drive it, and the plan they keep healthy is everyone's.

What happens if we grow past our band mid-contract?

Your price is locked for the contract year. If you grow past your band, we true up at renewal.

How long does implementation take?

Connect your systems and the full platform goes to work immediately: scoring, monitoring, and diagnosis start the first day.

How do you handle our data?

Orbytal has completed a SOC 2® Type 1 examination covering security, confidentiality, and availability. See Security at Orbytal for the details.

What are the contract terms?

Annual, invoiced annually.
